Ondo Farmers Hail Amotekun, Beg Govt To Provide More Security

Farmers in Ago- Dada and other neighbouring villages have commended the State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun, under the leadership of Akogun Adetunji Adeleye for it performance in their areas.

While acknowledging the effort of Amotekun, they appeal to the Governor of the state, Hon . Lucky Ayedatiwa to protect them from the bandits

The farmers who stated that the security is yet to be improved in the area despite the efforts of the Amotekun , as the farmers and vulnerable residents of communities got killed, kidnapped and their women raped.

Speaking on behalf of Ago-Dada, Igbo-Dudu, Power-Line, Ago-Oyinbo and Ago-Akure farmers, all in Akure North Local Government Area of the state, Samuel Olowolafe who noted that Amotekun corps has at various times responded swiftly to distress calls, but the bandits still coming back.

“Though we have applauded the efforts of the Amotekun, but more actions needs to be done as our farms have been set ablaze by these bandits

“We can not go back to our farms again, crops have been destroyed, house burnt and we are daily leaving in fear,” Olowolafe said.

The farmers, however, called on the state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa not to relent towards protecting the lives and properties as they even asked the government to support the Amotekun by providing more hands and equipments to the corps for adequate security in the state.
